Questions
What do K and F mean in Core Ultra model names?
K models are unlocked for overclocking. F models have no integrated graphics and need a graphics card, and KF models are unlocked without integrated graphics. The 250KF Plus is $169.99 and the 250K Plus is $179.98. The 225F is $135 and the 225 is $174.99.
Do Core Ultra 200S CPUs have Hyper-Threading?
No. Each core runs one thread, so the Core Ultra 5 225F has 10 cores and 10 threads. LGA1700 CPUs run two threads on each performance core.
What are the Core Ultra 200S Plus models?
The Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, released in March 2026, add four efficient cores to the 245K and 265K and raise official memory support from DDR5-6400 to DDR5-7200. The 250K Plus is $179.98 and the 245K is $184.99. The 270K Plus is $295.99 and the 265K is $269.
What motherboard, memory and cooler does LGA1851 need?
A motherboard with an Intel 800-series chipset, such as the Z890 or B860, and DDR5 memory; LGA1700 motherboards do not support these CPUs. LGA1700 coolers do fit, because the mounting holes are in the same place. The 32GB DDR5 RAM guide compares current kit prices.
