Overview

Expandable 14-inch business laptop

The ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 combines AMD Ryzen processing with a conventional business keyboard and space for two internal SSDs.

  • Two internal drives

Separate M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 positions support two SSDs, allowing extra internal storage alongside the original drive.

  • Partly replaceable memory

One DDR4 SO-DIMM slot supplements the soldered memory, providing an expansion path.

  • External display support

USB-C can drive a 4K monitor at 60Hz; HDMI supports 4K at 30Hz. Both can be used alongside the built-in screen.

One-slot memory expansion

Only the SO-DIMM portion can be changed; the onboard memory remains fixed. A RAM upgrade may require replacing the installed module, because there is just one expansion slot. The total installed capacity alone does not establish that the slot is empty.
