16-inch gaming laptop

A 16-inch gaming laptop with a 14th-generation Intel Core HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. It uses a 240 Hz IPS display rather than OLED.

  • 240 Hz IPS display

    The 2560 × 1600 anti-glare IPS panel runs at 240 Hz with G-SYNC, covers 100% DCI-P3 and is rated at 500 nits with DisplayHDR 400. Each panel is factory colour calibrated by X-Rite.

  • 115 W GPU power

    Both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs run at up to 115 W TGP. The RTX 5060 has 8 GB of GDDR7; Lenovo lists the RTX 5070 with 8 GB or 12 GB, and 83NN005TAU has 8 GB.

  • Memory and storage expansion

    Memory uses two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots, up to 32 GB. 83NN005TAU ships with one 24 GB module, so it runs in single channel until a second module is fitted. There are two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots.

Processor and graphics

  • Core i9-14900HX with RTX 507024 cores (8 P-core + 16 E-core) and 32 threads at up to 5.8 GHz, with 36 MB cache. The RTX 5070 has 4,608 CUDA cores at up to 115 W TGP. Suits buyers who want the most processor and GPU cores in this chassis, for example for rendering or code compilation alongside gaming.
  • Core i7-14650HX with RTX 506016 cores (8 P-core + 8 E-core) and 24 threads at up to 5.2 GHz, with 30 MB cache. The RTX 5060 has 3,328 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR7 at the same 115 W limit. Suits buyers who mainly game and do not need the i9's extra 8 E-cores or the RTX 5070's extra CUDA cores.
