SSD Description

The ADATA GAMMIX S70 uses the InnoGrit IG5236 "Rainier" controller, an 8-channel design on a 12nm process paired with independent DDR4 DRAM caching and Micron 3D TLC NAND (96-layer or 176-layer depending on batch). It uses InnoGrit’s LDPC error correction for high-throughput integrity. The non-Blade variant includes a heavy, terraced aluminum heatsink that is adhered to the PCB (removal can detach NAND), has a high z-height that makes it incompatible with most laptops and the PlayStation 5 expansion slot, and has seen occasional controller failures (sometimes appearing as "MN-5236" with 0GB), so keeping firmware up to date is recommended.
