RAM Description

The ADATA Spectrix D35G 16GB (2x8GB) is a dual-channel DDR4-3200 desktop DIMM kit running at CL16-20-20 timings and 1.35V. It is suited to mainstream desktop builds on DDR4-based LGA1200, LGA1700, and AM4 platforms. The kit includes addressable RGB lighting controllable through major motherboard software (ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, MSI) or XPG's own Prime software. On Intel platforms, XMP 2.0 must be enabled in BIOS to reach 3200 MT/s; without it the kit initializes at its SPD speed of 2666 MT/s.

Platform Notes

  • Intel platforms: Runs at its SPD default of 2666 MT/s until XMP 2.0 is enabled in BIOS.
  • AMD platforms: ADATA has verified compatibility with AM4 platforms; AM4 boards generally reach the advertised 3200 MT/s speed through normal BIOS profile loading.

Physical Notes

  • Clearance: Module height is 36 mm, which is compact for an RGB DIMM and generally easier to fit around large air coolers than taller modules.
  • Thermal design: Compact heatsink with integrated addressable RGB; XPG describes the profile as suitable for small chassis installations.

Comparable Options

  • Ecosystem alternative: XPG GAMMIX D35 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 - non-RGB sibling in the same family with the same speed and capacity tier.
  • Direct competitor: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 DIMM - non-RGB, lower-profile (32 mm) option at the same speed and capacity; supports XMP 2.0.
