Overview

15.6-inch everyday laptop

The Modern 15 B12M is an affordable 15.6-inch laptop for everyday work and study. The catalogued configuration has a 12th-gen Intel Core i7-1255U, 16 GB of onboard DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD.

  • Large keyboard and touchpad

TechRadar found the touchpad one of the largest it had seen and the white-backlit keyboard large and easy to use.

  • Crisp but narrow-gamut display

TechRadar found the 1920 × 1080 IPS-level panel very crisp, but its colour gamut is limited, so it is not ideal for graphics work.

  • Replaceable SSD

The SSD sits in a single M.2 PCIe Gen3 slot and can be replaced. Memory is soldered with a 16 GB maximum, which this configuration already has.
