Gigabyte Gaming A16 Pro (GA6DH)

Gigabyte caps the RTX 5080 at 115W in this laptop, which 3DNews says costs it up to 20 to 25 percent of its potential. Notebookcheck measured the RTX 5070 Ti build at 115W too. At that limit, TechRadar found the RTX 5080 performs similarly to an RTX 5070 Ti, and 3DNews measured it as slightly faster than RTX 5070 Ti laptops without a power cap in graphics benchmarks, and similar or faster in games.

The RTX 5080's clearer advantage here is 16GB of graphics memory instead of 12GB. TechRadar found this lets you use higher-quality textures at the native 2560×1600 resolution and keep ray tracing on in games such as Cyberpunk 2077. The RTX 5070 Ti build suits buyers who want similar raw performance for less money.
