Overview

Thin and light 14-inch laptop

A thin 14-inch laptop with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors for work, study and media. It pairs an OLED display with a 70 Wh battery in an aluminium and magnesium chassis.

  • FHD+ OLED display

Dell Australia lists a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 OLED panel at 60 Hz and 300 nits with 100% DCI-P3 colour, giving deep contrast for media and photo viewing.

  • Over 20 hours in testing

Tom’s Hardware’s Core Ultra 7 355 unit with the 1200p OLED touchscreen lasted 20 h 41 min in its web, video and OpenGL battery test at 150 nits, against 15 h 28 min for the MacBook Air M5.

  • Thin metal chassis

The aluminium and magnesium body is 6.89 mm thick at the front and 11.40 mm at the rear, slim for a 14-inch laptop with a 70 Wh battery.

Processor differences

  • Core Ultra 7 355 · 16 GB / 1 TB8 cores (4 performance, 4 low-power efficiency); better for heavier multitasking.
  • Core Ultra 5 322 · 16 GB / 512 GB6 cores (2 performance, 4 low-power efficiency); fine for office work, browsing and streaming.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x (Gen 11) 14" · From $2,499 Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 is explicitly recommended in Dell 14S review coverage for similar OLED productivity needs in a lighter body. USB-C-only ports and Windows on Arm compatibility are meaningful tradeoffs. ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407NA) 14" · From $2,849 ASUS Zenbook A14 UX3407NA (2026) targets the same mobile office buyer, with very light construction, OLED and excellent endurance. Its non-touch display and Windows on Arm compatibility deserve consideration. HP OmniBook 5 (he0000) 14" · From $1,275 HP OmniBook 5 14-he0000 (G1q) remains a recurring mainstream alternative for study, Office and streaming, combining OLED with excellent battery life. Fewer ports, modest demanding-workload performance and Arm compatibility are the compromises.
