Overview

Large creative workstation

The 16.2-inch M4 MacBook Pro combines an HDR display with M4 Pro or M4 Max silicon for creative work that benefits from dedicated media engines.

  • HDR display

The Liquid Retina XDR display reaches 1,000 nits sustained full-screen HDR brightness and supports adaptive refresh up to 120Hz.

  • Thunderbolt 5

Three Thunderbolt 5 ports support fast external storage and displays; HDMI and an SDXC slot also serve media workflows.

  • Hardware video processing

Both chips accelerate H.264, HEVC and ProRes, with AV1 decoding for compatible video.

M4 Pro or M4 Max

M4 Max suits setups needing more than two external displays: it supports up to four, while M4 Pro supports up to two. Max also doubles the video-encode and ProRes engines for applications that use them.
